Holman’s recently celebrated its 33rd year in business and its 25th anniversary as an Autodesk Partner. We have survived changes in the marketplace by evolving beyond early beginnings as a drafting supplies and surveying equipment dealer. The ability of the company to recognize and respond quickly to changes in technology in the past 30 years is one of the keys behind our longevity and transformation to a technical services company. In the early 1980s we recognized that our client base, which was the AEC market (Architects, Engineers and Construction), would need to make the transition from manual drafting methods to CAD systems. It was through this initiative that we got involved with computers, and in 1985 became a reseller for Autodesk. AutoCad, one of the first CAD programs to run on the new Personal Computer, was an immediate success and has over the years become the de-facto standard in the industry. Our long involvement and association with Autodesk through the years has played a key role in our success.
